Alex Arsenault is a Registered Forest Technician (RFT)/ Accredited Timber Cruiser (ATC) and has been with Silvicon since 2014. He is an experienced project manager and has an extensive background in various timber development activities including timber reconnaissance, forest health surveys, site plan data collection, and cut block layout on a variety of terrain for both conventional, and cable logging harvest systems. He also has extensive experience completing detailed level 1 and level 2 road data collection surveys and excels at both field and office-based road designs which include utilizing the latest ROADENG software.
Alex became an Accredited Timber Cruisers in 2019 and facilitates the completion of cruise compilations. As one of Silvicon’s most experienced field supervisors, Alex is an excellent mentor for new field employees. He is always looking for more learning opportunities, and in 2021 alongside a small team of coworkers, completed an NFI contract in the Cassiar region as the lead soils and ecology person, collecting detailed field data on permanent sample plots. He is currently co-managing Silvicon’s Waste and Residue Survey program alongside one of Silvicon’s Registered Forest Technicians. Alex’s daily objectives include the completion of honest, correct, and clear work.
