"Pacific Inland Resources gets clean Forest Practices Board Audit"
As with all licensees and Small Business Enterprise Programs, Pacific Inland Resources faced the challenge of managing their timber harvesting efficiently while addressing a broad range of forest resources and working within the requirements of the Forest Practices Code.
Working with Pacific Inland Resources, Silvicon developed internal quality control measures and operating procedures that ensured that timber and non-timber resources were adequately addressed in every phase of development. This meant that special attention was given to Forest Practices Code legislation and guidance, both in the field and in the associated mapping and documentation phases.
Pacific Inland Resources (West Fraser) was the first forest products company in British Columbia to receive a "clean" Forest Practices Board audit.
